Its time yall. This is my first official video. Directed by myself, Danny April, and Sabrina Beram. This is a track from an upcoming EP of ‘Unconscious Digi-reggae’ tunes. I am super stoked about this ep and how the vid came out. Just really hi def documentation of what i feel like in New Haven it was filmed during winter (sorry yall) and we employed the ‘fucking around wherever’ technique.

The basics – this an album I have been working on for the past year to combat the awfulness of working a terrible job and feeling isolated LIKE EVERYONE MAYBE I DONT KNOW. But this music is made out of the purest elements of what gets me stoked. If it was like a vid and this album was a video response it would be me just eating sour punch straws and going “haha fuck you”. Naw on the reals I imagine it all playing at a mall that is cut in half and the beach and everything with it is pouring in.

only tha truth – I have been a real reggae fan ever since I wandered into this rasta store on a trip to philly senior year of HS, and just embarrassingly asked the dudes whats good. Sizzla – Da Real Thing kicked that shit off. It was really digital and bright and major & dude is just screaming about chopping off pagans heads and stuff. I did eff with Bob and all that but this really showed me how extreme and varied the genre can be.

These tunes & flavors are some of my favs from different points of my fandom. Tried to do my best to make it one big jam. Its true. Dizlocated tour:CASHED. paints chippin off my one gross fingernail. Favstar just flashed the recycling logo in my face. The second I got back to new haven me and @towaofpowa sat down next to the band
indecent exposure before they played at toad’s place. appropriate homecoming vibes from strangers decked out in green headbands, black football stripes under their eyes, and leopard print pentagrams.

Best way to do this. Lil paragraph on each city that I havent mentioned yet. awwww maaannn. fuck it ur gonna read this.

Pittsburgh – Probably sickest show of the tour. Sick in that ‘deepest part of the tour where you are put on trial as a person, entertainer, product, statement, and a thing and u got no publik defender’ kind of way. dudes HATED me! First – def communicated by phone and many emails that I was on the show. I roll up, see the flyer, my names not onnit –> o yea I think we can fit you in. Before I go on band before me introduces me duh as Dan Deacon. Proceed to feel weird about shit im wearing and how Im a solo guy backed with electronic music. Did my best to keep it posi. Read some raps from my raps/rhymes book. Called their band black lice. tried to turn it into chuckles. bottom line prob just didnt fit in :/. Went as hard as the situation allowed.

Cleveland – rocked a funny little coffee shop type set where i read more raps like they were poems then played songs probably. people just sittin at tables in front of me. dude in a red shirt heckled me a little. i declared cleveland took it a realness level of 3. he didnt want to go to further than that. my set pretty much was for one fun lovin party of four in a booth. girl ‘made it rain,’ just on my hand, for a cd. DJ party sweat kept the boot stomping new wave party torch burnin. Spent another whole day in a starbucks. Stayed in a loft with margaret keane paintings and 2 ammped dogs. cleveland’s great

Ann Arbor – so much so much love the town and its people, its beats and beatmakers, its ‘pseudo crunchy freshness’ “SOGOOKIN!!” Spent like 3 days in the place i played Arbor Vitae a hidden loft above a record store and 2 head shops. The most synchronous tour coincidences went down here of course. Thanks to my sponsors charles trees, mogi grumbles, moodgadget, spiral tattoos, kinkos with the best A/C of the tour. Peep these leftovers.

MiLwAukEe – This far into the country I legit felt like a different kind of being. Everyone’s so damn nice and I couldnt stop saying how I was gonna take advantage of everyone’s niceness. C’mon I didnt. I played a fun little set. The line-up was legendary. Big Fun 4ever and Rio Turbo did it UP. Place just turned into one smilin headnoddin packed bar by Turbo’s set. In addition gotta say I felt the presence of the jouneyman Juiceboxxx 1&only while there. This sticker is in the bathroom of FUEL.

Hard to make out I know but ima say thats some of that darkness. So real. JB and the biz FOREVER <3 <3

Bmore show – I dont mean to ‘duh’ around here but Str8 Cavin was such an authentic gorgeous bmore experience. Middle of the summer hot as fuck but unnoticeable to everyone dgaffin bout it and just wanting to throw down. Narwhalz And Dog Dick And Rap Dragons just gnashed my weird sounding set up and blew bubbles with it. dog dick guested on black magic for like A SEC. burnin and learnin. here’s an unwatchable clip from it of a new tune in the works

DC Velvet Lounge – 4 sum reason BY FAR the best sound of the tour 60% family friends and parents in attendence. ended with pretty much relatives telling me my ‘moves were sexy’ and i smiled and quietly felt weird. I missed earth alien hybrid but I know they are on some EOTO shit and by the powers I WILL get them to new haven. jamtronica is DIFFERENT than the jam band scene. I think.

Alright thought Id have this up yesterday. This the new welcome post! So yea hey and yea what I said before. Agawam show last night was surreal and crazy fun as usual. Not only did the crew get a last minute band together just for the evening, ArkUpus, whos set included a Tracy Bonham Mother Mother cover and an original in which the chorus was just a slightly different yell from immigrant song, they set up the most insane midi and arcade button controlled light show money could buy. With jlo waiting for tonight lasers and triballs blazin, serious alignments at some moments of what I want a set of mine to be like. Fucking ruled actually. PICS AND VIDS SOON. I GOT EM.
